A Day On The Green

February 13, 2010 - Seppelt Winery

The mighty Hoodoo Gurus will headline the next – and sixth - ‘a day on the green’ concert at Seppelt Great Western. Chart toppers Evermore will join the Gurus so get set for a double shot of classic rock! Plus The Whitlams’ lead singer Tim Freedman, a wonderfully charismatic solo performer, will also take to the stage. This year promoters are pleased to introduce the amazing talents of indigenous singer/songwriter Dan Sultan to open the show.

Acclaimed for their songs, musical expertise and brilliant live performances, this year’s ‘a day on the green’ is first-class quality music across the whole day in a great value-for-money concert – and one of the strongest line-ups presented since the event began at Seppelt.

Australian Country Life Festival

Great Western Good Friday Rodeo

April 2, 2010 - Great Western Racing & Recreation Reserve

One of the best Rodeos in Australia, featuring exciting dangerous action, outstanding courage and riding skills by the riders, some being Australian champions, with an arena completely surrounded by trees and seating, forming a natural amphitheatre. Included is a live band performance, stalls, rides, professional catering and free camping. Breakfast is available on Easter Saturday morning.

Come and be a part of the ultimate country experience!

After taking out the Best New Event Concept at the Country Racing Awards in August 2009, the Seppelt Salinger Great Western Cup is one not to miss. The weekend starts off with a with a Corporate Dinner on the Friday Night at Seppelt before hitting the track on Saturday for the Cup.

The day will be loaded up with entertainment from country inspired activities and food, to the other main race for the day 'James Boag’s Boat Regatta' involving clubs from everywhere in a boat race up the straight.
